The Beauty Hub Clinic is proud to offer skin peel treatments. The Ameson chemical peel range, rejuvenate and freshen the appearance of the skin by removing the outer layers of dead skin to reveal new skin below.
They exfoliate the outer layers of dead skin, revealing a new skin layer with improved tone, texture, and colour. These used are primarily alpha and beta hydroxyacids. They include Mandelic, Salacylic, Lactic and Glycolic Acids. Skin Peels can be combined with other treatments to provide advanced results; including microneedling.
What are skin peels?
Combining a medicated cocktail of skin safe & natural acids, the skin peels create a gentle chemical reaction as the active enzymes in the solution eat away and remove dead skin cells.
What issues are addressed?
Skin peels are primarily used for improvement of skin texture, pigmentation, reduction of fine lines and wrinkles and can help improve skin tone. Regular treatments can help improve the appearance of scarring incl. acne scarring. They are most commonly used on the face but can also be used on the back, abdomen and chest to improve imperfections.
How quickly does it work and how long will it last?
Some of the effects of the peels can be seen immediately. There may be some erythema (redness) that usually subsides and is usually short lasting but may persist over the next 24 hours.
You may experience some dryness as the dead layer of skin is gently being removed so its important to moisturise your skin promptly to ensure maximum results. Over the next few days get ready to see your new, rejuvenated glowing skin!
The treatment time is not long at all, the peels are perfect to add on to any facial treatment for an extra boost. They can also be performed alone for a super quick skin pick me up.
